Minor damage.
Most of the glass that requires polishing have small abrasions in the form of small scratches 50-200 microns deep. Such glass defects result from environmental influences and also from mechanical friction of the wipers against the glass. In this case, the windscreen is polished with a fine abrasive wheel and fine abrasive pastes containing zinc or manganese oxides. The glass polishing process consists of grinding and then removing from the surface a small layer of glass with a thickness of no more than 10 microns.
Average damage.
This group includes glass damage with a depth of 200 to 300 microns. In this case, polishing of car glass takes place in several stages, and both fine abrasives and medium abrasive materials containing iron oxide and zirconium dioxide are used. These damages often appear on windscreen, in the form of abrasions caused by mechanical impact of worn wipers. This process is hard and requires a certain amount of time.
